Project Pan 2020 - Makeup Edition: January Update

It's already time for my first, end-of-the-month Project Pan 2020 Update - and of course we're starting with January! If you missed my Introduction post earlier this month, firstly you can catch up here if you fancy and secondly, it gives a little more in-depth details on the logistics on how this whole thing is gonna work but basically - this year I'm doing my own 'Project Pan' for my Makeup! And these little monthly recaps are basically gonna do two things - update on how I'm getting on with the products currently in the project, let you know if there's anything I've completely used up (plus anything outside of the line-up that I may have finished up too) and also let you know what I may be possibly adding into the project aswell. So, without any further ado - let's get started...

What I've Made Progress On...

  • Revolution X Soph Extra Spice Palette - Before finally cracking open my new palette baby - the BPerfect X Stacey Marie Carnival XL Pro - I definitely used this palette a good few times and I actually managed to hit pan on another shade ('Everyday', the shimmery icy lilac in the top left corner), yay!
  • Rimmel Lasting Finish Concealer - I use this pretty much every day to clean up my brows or liner, so I think I've at least made some minimal progress on it.
  • Collection Lasting Perfection Weightless Foundation - I also used this foundation a good few times this month, quite enjoyed it and am pleased to have made progress on it again at last!
  • theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer Luminizer - I am so happy I added this highlighter into this project as I've completely fell back in love with it again! I can see why I hit pan on it in the first place. Such a gorgeous light, golden champagne with a beautiful sheen that's blinding, without being glittery or chunky in anyway. Definitely made some progress on this beauty!
  • Barry M Dewy Setting Spray - For early shifts at work, or quick and simple makeup days when I haven't really needed to use my holy grail Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray, I've been using this one and loving it! Sets my makeup well, all whilst leaving a lovely dewy finish too.

...And What I've Perhaps Not...

  • Soap and Glory Solar Powder Bronzer - As I've been so concentrated on using up my CYO Bronzer this month, I've not touched this one at all! However, hopefully with the CYO perhaps being on its way out now (see below) that'll all change in February...
  • MAC Lipstick in 'Patisserie' - I've tried a couple of new lip colours this month and also gone back to some other old favourites - so this MAC Lipstick was unfortunately left untouched! Oops. Fingers crossed I'll start making some progress on it next month!

What I've Used Up...

  • CYO When The Sun Don't Shine Bronzer - As this bronzer was closer to being finished than the Soap and Glory one, I decided to concentrate on it first and as a result -  it is all gone! There's a tiny little bit left at the very outer edges of the pan but I can't get anything onto my brush anymore, so it's time for it to go...
  • Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara - I go through mascaras pretty quickly and regularly and this time, it was my current one from Maybelline that I realised was all used up. And as a result, I moved onto something new - which you may or may not be seeing in my next post when I show you all of my January Favourites...
  • Primark Skinny Brow Pencil in 'Dark Brown' - These brow pencils are awesome and over time, have become my go-to staple when it comes to filling in my brows. Super cheap, but such great quality that rivals virtually identical products that come in at much higher price-points. I always tend to go through the deeper shade first as it's what I use on the bulk of my brows (before then using a lighter shade through the very front) so I'm not at all surprised that I finished another one up in January!
  • Revolution Hydrate Primer - I used this primer a lot this month and as a result - finally finished it all up. Yay!
  • Revolution Conceal and Define Concealer in 'C1' - I've had this concealer kicking about for a little while and have now used it all up. I tend to only buy the Supersize version nowadays, so am pleased to have the last of this regular size out of my collection!
  • Collection Velvet Kiss Lip Cream in 'Caramel' - I went through a phase last year when I used this lip cream all the time - mainly for work - and I went to use it the other day and thought it was kinda used/dried up! So, I think it's time to put this one in the Empties bin...

What I'm Adding In...

  • Collection Primed and Ready Invisible Setting Powder - I really want to use this up soon! It's my favourite translucent pressed powder, but my current one has now got a pretty decent pan in it and I really want to finish it completely. Not just to be able to start on a fresh one, but in case I want to try out a new pressed powder completely as I have indeed got one ready and waiting that I'd love to give it a go soon...
  • MUA Bronzed Perfection Matte Bronzer - I thought with one bronzer out of this project already, I'd add another in. Of course, thought I still want to focus on using up the Soap and Glory Solar Powder, I kinda want to throw another bronzer in here to give me some more variation - and this one from MUA called out to me. Not only is it pretty old (you may remember I picked up their new bronzers which seem to have replaced these ones at the end of 2019 and I love them), it's already got a decent-sized pan in it so hopefully, it shouldn't be too difficult to get through it completely!
  • Rimmel 1000 Kisses Lip Liner in 'Tiramisu' - The first of two lip liners that are getting super short and I've love to use up - again, because I've got new, unopened ones ready and waiting to replace them. I'm sure if you've read round here before you'll know them too. This one from Rimmel is one of my favourite, staple nude lip liners - hence why it's got so much love! A warm, mid-toned nude - I'm sure I'll be able to entirely work my way through this soon...
  • NYX Slim Lip Pencil in 'Natural' - This is another of my holy grail nude lip liners that I've worked my way through a lot of and would love to finish up soon. So, I've thrown it into the Project Pan 2020 mix and like with the Rimmel one above, I'm sure that I'll be able to make quite good progress on it pretty quickly...
  • Barry M Lip Scrub in 'Peppermint' - Finally, I thought I'd add this lip scrub into this project as it's quickly become my favourite and I've already worked my way through a decent amount of it already as a result. So, why not try and use it up completely? I'm sure with how much and how regularly I use this, it hopefully shouldn't be too difficult!
