It's time for my May Favourites! It's a pretty short-but-sweet edition this time around as somehow, I really haven't tried many new beauty products this month but rest assured - there are some real good'uns in here! It was indeed my Birthday Month and though I have bought some new beauty goodies to treat myself, I haven't got round to testing any of them out just yet - but I'm sure that'll change come next month as I'm super-duper eager to! But - back to my actual favourites of May - a couple of re-discoveries and a handful of newbies to my stash. Let's get started!
BPERFECT X STACEY MARIE CARNIVAL XL PRO PALETTE - I was lucky enough to receive this palette for Christmas last year and ever since trying it out straight away in January - I have been in love with it! However, whilst I've been thoroughly enjoying and using it pretty regularly since then, I feel like this month I have been particularly doing so! Basically, in terms of all of the palettes I've used in May - this has been the one I've reached for the most. And, as always - it's been awesome!
BOURJOIS HEALTHY MIX FOUNDATION - I've had an unopened bottle of this foundation kicking around in my stash for a little while now and finally, this month - I decided to crack it open! This used to be one of my favourite foundations ever and I haven't used it in so, so long! But, now I have, I'm reminded of exactly why I loved it so much. A good, medium coverage base that blends easily, sits so smoothly on the skin and leaves such a lovely, glowy finish to the skin too! It's such a shame Bourjois are leaving the UK soon, as this is still one of my top foundations I've think I've ever tried! Perfect for days when I want less coverage and a slightly more 'skin-like' effect...
GARNIER ULTIMATE BLENDS HAIR FOOD BANANA 3-IN-1 HAIR MASK - One of the few new items I tried this month was this awesome hair mask! I had high hopes for this - mainly due to it being banana-scented - and luckily, I was not proved wrong! Not only does this truly smell delicious, with that perfect sweet-spot between fake and real banana fragrance that lingers on your hair for a good while after using it - the formula is just brilliant too! A super thick and rich consistency that easily smooths onto the hair - I love to leave it it to work its magic for as long as possible (like I typically do with any hair mask/treatment) and oh wow, it works like a dream! My hair is left feeling so soft and smooth and also looking pretty shiny and healthy too! Easy to manage and style - what more could you want?
IMPULSE VERY PINK BODY SPRAY - If I'm not wearing perfume that day and just want a little somethin' somethin' scent-wise, I'll pick up a body spray or mist - and I used to be obsessed with this one right here! It was one of my top favourites and so, when I was in need of a new one recently - I decided to go back to it - and I'm so glad I did! It's slightly floral, slightly sweet and slightly musky (basically everything I want in any type of fragrance) and though it it just a super-cheap body spray, it actually hangs around for a good while before I feel the need to spritz some more on!
SOAP AND GLORY THE RIGHTEOUS BUTTER BODY LOTION - Finally, we have the second new product I actually tried for the first time this month - and so far, am loving! You can't go wrong with a bath and body product from good ol' Soap and Glory, right? Well, this one is certainly no exception! I love the original The Righteous Butter - it's a great, staple body butter - but this one is a pretty good alternative. It's got the same classic, Original Pink fragrance, just with a slightly thinner, more runny formula! That's of course to allow for the pump dispenser and though you may at first think that means the formula is not as good because it's not as thick and rich as the classic pot - you'd be wrong! It still deeply nourished and hydrates the skin, whilst sinking in quickly and easily and not leaving behind any sticky or greasy reside at the same time! And the pump makes application so convenient too - I'd definitely consider picking this one up in the future...
So there we have it - my May Beauty Favourites! Like I mentioned at the start, there'd definitely less in here than perhaps in previous months but I really feel like I've found some proper firm favourites these past few weeks...
