Birthday Beauty Bay Haul!

It was my Birthday last month and with it being a #LockdownBirthday where I understandably wasn't able to do much and didn't have many, if any, plans - I decided to treat myself and do a not-so-little Birthday Beauty Bay Haul! I had some Birthday money to spend and oh boy, did I do exactly that. It was actually a couple of weeks after my Birthday that I placed the order and with deliveries obviously taking a little longer than usual at the moment, it was only a week or so ago that I got my hands on everything. Then, time got away with me and it's now the start of June and I'm only now getting round to showcasing everything I picked up! But, I knew I had to do it now as I really want to start trying some of these items over the next few weeks. Let's see what I picked up...

I picked up two eyeshadow palettes. Yep, that's right - but hear me out! These are two palettes I've been eyeing up and lusting after for quite a while now, so I figured what better time than my Birthday to finally treat myself to them both. The first is the BPerfect X Jan Clientele Palette. You all know how much I adore both of my BPerfect X Stacey Marie Palettes (the original Carnival and the newer Carnival XL Pro) and with them being super bright, colourful, rainbow-esque colour schemes, I was super eager to give a more neutral offering from BPerfect a try! Cause, surely if the formula is just as awesome (which I've got a strong feeling it will be) - I'll love it just as much? I can't wait to give it a try! Then, I finally decided to bite the bullet and pick up the infamous Beauty Bay Me, Myself and MmmMitchell Palette! Ever since MakeMeUpMissa tried and started raving about this palette (and using it in numerous, stunning tutorials) over the past few months, I have had it firmly on my Wishlist. Yes, it is another rainbow-inspired palette but - as is the case with basically all eyeshadow palettes - I feel like you can never have too many. I've only continued to get more and more into my bright, bold, colourful looks over the past few years - whether that be creating super bright looks or even just incorporating pops of colour into more 'everyday', 'wearable'  looks (even though I personally hate those phrases when it comes to makeup!). Plus, whilst there are some similar shades to my Stacey Marie palettes, there are some definite unique tones and finishes too. Again, I'm so super happy to finally have this palette in my collection and can't wait to crack it open and start creating looks with it! Keep an eye out round these parts for standalone reviews on both of these coming soon-ish - I'm hoping to at least get the chance to try one this month, but I might leave the other for July as I do like to give myself a good space of time to try and test new eyeshadow palettes!

I also decided to pick up a foundation that I've heard so much about and has only recently made its way to UK shores - the Wet 'n' Wild Photo Focus Dewy Foundation! This was released a fair while ago in the US (as a lot of makeup releases always tend to be) but it's only in the last month or so that it's at last been available in the UK, through good ol' Beauty Bay! I picked up the shade 'Soft Ivory', which I think is the lightest shade available on the site. I did consider the second lightest colour, but then I noticed how much more pink-toned it appeared compared to 'Soft Ivory', which looked to have a slightly more neutral/warm undertone that I always like to go for as it suits me more. So, 'Soft Ivory' was the one I plumped for and going from just the bottle alone, I think I made a good choice. I'll certainly keep you all updated when I get round to putting it into action!

The final two items from this haul were both Lips-related - the first being another Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick! I've bought and tried a good handful of these liquid lipsticks in the past and I've loved them all. The formula is great (super thin and liquidy, sets down to a fully matte but lightweight and comfortable finish that's really long-wearing) and they come in so many colours! One shade in particular has been on my Wishlist for a while now but it's only in the past month or so they've finally restocked it on Beauty Bay - so I knew it was the perfect time to finally pick it up. This is the shade 'Rose Matter' - a stunning, soft, pinky-coral. It looks to be just ideal for Spring/Summer when you want something more 'out there' than a nude, but not super bright and bold - so I'm sure I'll be testing it out soon! Then, last but not least, Revolution Skincare have  not-too-long-ago launched a new collection of makeup removers - in various formats and formulas - and one in particular caught my eye. This is their Lip Colour Remover - which supposedly does exactly what it says on the tin. A remover especially for helping break down the lip product you're wearing, particularly those stubborn lip colours that just don't want to come off! And with me especially loving those types of products - like matte, long-lasting liquid lipsticks - and in the past having to really scrub my lips to encourage them to remove, I thought I might benefit from adding this to my stash! Again, I will keep you updated with how well it goes...
