August: The Love List

It's time for my August Beauty Favourites! I tried out a lot of new products this month and as a result, have a good handful of favourites so, without any further ado - shall we just get started?

BARRY M HI VIS KOHL LINERS, LIQUID LINERS AND WATER ACTIVATED PAINTS - I picked up basically the entire new Barry M Hi Vis Range recently and this month, finally got round to trying it all out! And so far - I'm loving it! The kohl liners are pigmented, creamy, glide on easily, and yet stay wherever you place them all day long. Even on the waterline! The liquid liners are again - well pigmented - even though they're quite light, pastel colours and unlike many other coloured liquid liners out there, they actually do not crack at all! The pointed foam applicator makes for such an easy, precise application too. And then we have the water activated paints - and these have really become a favourite of mine! I'd wanted to try these type of 'cake' liners that are basically a dry formula that require a wet brush to 'activate' them and make them a creamy consistency and so far, these have really impressed me! Super vibrant, pigmented colours and combined with a good liner brush - they're pretty easy to get the hang of applying! I'm definitely interested in trying out and experimenting with more cake liners now...

BARRY M X ANNA LINGIS EYE FOILS IN 'HEAT' AND 'COPPER' - These are another pretty new-ish launch from Barry M that also caught my eye and I'm so glad they did - they're so good! I'd always heard pretty good things about their Holographic Eye Toppers (I still really want to try those at some point) but these remidn me of them, just in more 'neutral' colours. So, I had pretty high hopes they'd impress and thankfully, they certainly did! I love them both, but 'Heat' especially is such a stunning colour - a light champagne with flecks of green and pink running through it. If I'm having a simple makeup day, I love to just take some on my finger and pat it all over the lid, throw on some liquid liner and I'm done! 'Copper' is a really pretty shade too though - a true warm copper with orange and red sparkle! Both also last impeccably on the eyes without any cracking, flaking or transferring so I'm super happy to have these in my collection!

ELF BITE SIZE PALETTES IN 'CARNIVAL CANDY', 'CREAM AND SUGAR', 'PUMPKIN PIE', 'BERRY BAD' AND 'ROSE WATER' - Remember a few months back when I picked up a couple of the Elf Bite Size Palettes? Well, I enjoyed them so much that not too long ago I picked up all of the other ones! This month I got round to trying them all out - and so far, so good! Same great formula as the others, just in even more shade variations! The mattes in these are well-pigmented and blend easily and the shimmers are just gorgeous. Admittedly, some are better than others but typically it just comes down to the fact that some apply with a flat brush, whilst others require my fingertip to get them to full potential - so it's really not that much of an issue. For such super-cheap palettes, these are generally amazing quality and as I said - in such stunning shades too! I've been using a mixture of all of these to create looks as personally, these alone are not enough to create 'full' looks and I've really been enjoying it...

REVOLUTION SATIN KISS LIP LINERS IN 'CHAUFFEUR', 'HEART RACE', 'FLING' AND 'WHITE WEDDING' - I tried a few of the brighter, bolder, deeper colours of this lip liner range not too long ago and having really enjoyed them - decided to try some of the neutral/nude shades! And, as I hoped - these really impressed me too! They're well pigmented and have a nice, creamy formula that glides on easily, yet has enough of a waxy-ness to allow for a crisp and controlled application and a finish that's fairly long-lasting too. As imagined, this selection of shades work so well with all of my nude lip colours aswell!

ELF SRSLY SATIN LIPSTICK IN 'NECTAR' - This lippie has been another favourite of mine this month - another new love from ELF! This is a fairly new range of lipsticks and I really wanted to try out a shade to see what the formula is like - and so far, I'm pretty pleased. This is such a gorgeous, warm, peachy-nude! Formula-wise, it really does do what it says on the tin - a satin texture that hits that sweet spot where it's not matte, but not glossy - and because of that, it also manages to be totally comfortable and also really long-lasting at the same time! It's really rich and pigmented in colours too...

GARNIER NUTRIBOMB MILKY TISSUE MASKS - Finally, some new awesome tissue masks! It's no secret that I love the sheet/tissue masks from Garnier and so, when I spotted this new collection - I had to give them a try! They're basiclaly the same tissue masks, just enriched with more of a 'milky' serum as opposed to a gel-like texture and so far, I really like them! In fact, maybe even more so than the regular Garnier sheet masks. To me, these just seem even more intensely hydrating on my skin. Once I remove these and massage the excess serum in, my complexion is left feeling so super soft and nourished and also looking really plump, glowy and healthy too! I think I may have to pick some more of these up...

So there we have it - my August Favourites! What have you been loving this past month, beauty-wise? Let me know in the comments below, I'd love to know!
