I haven't done a post like this in ages, have I? I guess I just haven't tried any new nail polishes (or nail polish combinations) in a while - but that all changed this week. I spotted what I believe to be a brand new shade of the Barry M Crystal Rocks Nail Paints in my local Superdrug and naturally, it found its way into my basket...
This is the shade 'Amethyst' - isn't it just gorgeous? A stunning mid-toned purple with pink and blue glitter running through it. It's almost like a duo-chrome as it shifts and reflects different tones depending on how the light catches it! In some lights, it appears more purple, in others more pink and then in others, more blue. I love it!
As before with the Crystal Rocks formula, it goes onto the nails super sparkly, glossy and smooth, before gradually drying down to a pure glitter, textured finish. I find two coats is more than enough to achieve a fully opaque finish and whilst you can leave it as is, but I personally like to go in with my usual top coat - both to seal things fully into place and also just make the nails slightly less 'gritty' to touch. I also find it helps to really make the glittery finish 'pop' and shine even more so, which can never be a bad thing!
