2019 Favourites - Revisited... #DitsyDecember

Every year, in #DitsyDecember, I like to do a post like this where I look back on my yearly favourites from the previous year - in this case, my 2019 Favourites (which you can catch up on here and here, if you fancy!) - and have a little recap. What do I still love and use regularly? What I perhaps don't? Maybe I still love a product, but something new and possibly a little better came along and replaced it? Let's find out...

First up - we have Makeup! As always, still a lot of products I love in here. I still love both face primers from Rimmel and I Heart Revolution, but perhaps don't use them as much as I used to. I still really love my Revolution Conceal and Hydrate Foundation, but it has admittedly kinda been overtaken recently by the newer Conceal and Glow! I also still like my L'Oreal Infallible Freshwear Foundation, but after using up my last bottle a while ago, I haven't picked up another - yet. However, I still love and use my Revolution Conceal and Hydrate Concealer regularly and of course I still use my Rimmel Lasting Finish Concealer pretty much every day to add any extra coverage needed, carve out my brows and clean up any mistakes - that's why it's in my Project Pan 2020! My Collection Primed and Ready Invisible Setting Powder remains what I use every day as my pressed powder, but I have definitely changed up my loose powders a few times throughout 2020 - so the Lottie London Ready, Set! Go Translucent Powder isn't really a go-to of mine anymore. We all know how much I still adore my beloved Revolution Pro Skin Finish though! CYO's Bronzer in 'Fair' got all used up in my Project Pan, so I've definitely moved onto new things in that department and as for my NYX Blush in 'Taupe' (which I used for contouring), I've actually found something new this year that's meant it's been untouched for some time now. I know, shocker! I'm still obsessed with my Obsession Mega Lightning Highlighter and also my OFRA X NikkieTutorials 'Glazed Donut' Highlighter for when I wanna be boujee - though I do obviously have a lot of other highlighter faves from 2020, as always! As for Brows, my Primark Brow Pencils have kinda been replaced this year as they've become increasingly difficult to actually come across in-store, but I do still love and use my L'Oreal Brow Artiste Plumper, of course. I do sometimes still use my P.Louise Base for priming my eyes, but I have found some others this year that I tend to use more often nowadays and as for both of my single liquid shadows from Stila and Technic - I do still love both, but I really haven't used either much this year, as I generally whipped them out for nights out, something 2020 simply hasn't allowed a lot of, boo! Fingers crossed for 2021. Eyeshadow-wise, I obviously still love my BPerfect Carnival Palette but with me having tried both the Carnival XL Pro at the start of this year and then later the new Love Tahiti - those two are now definitely my more-used of the trio! I do still love and use my Revolution Reloaded Velvet Rose Palette though, although with it mainly being reached for when it comes to nights out, once again it perhaps hasn't got as much use as it would have normally! I've found a new liner this year that's replaced my classic NYX Epic Ink Liner (yep, I'm shocked too), however the Maybelline Lash Sensational and MAC Extended Play Mascara are still overall my most-used in the lash department! I've found other lip balms/treatments in 2020 which have replaced my NYX Bare With Me Hemp Lip Conditioner, however I do still love and regularly use my Barry M Lip Scrub (I currently use a different 'flavour' though!). Onto Lips, I still love my lip liners from MUA, Rimmel and NYX (though I do generally have a lot of favourite lip liner brands/ranges!). I'd say I still love all of the same brands when it comes to Liquid Lipsticks and also Lipgloss too - though I'd say I've discovered new shades this year which I also love! I still love the MUA Satin Lipstick in 'TLC', but I'd say there are a couple of other contenders for my 'Best Nude Lip 2020' and I'd say that to also be the case for the 'Best Bold Lip 2020' too - though I still adore my Revolution Powder Matte in 'Fascination' and also NYX Suede Matte Lipstick in 'Copenhagen'! Of course, I still love and regularly use my beloved Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray basically everyday, though I have found another setting spray this year which I've also thoroughly enjoyed. And then, finally, for Lashes - both my Duo Lash Glue and SoSu 'Dubai' Lashes remain my top favourites - although, again, 2020 really hasn't given me a lot of chances to wear lashes!

As for Tools, I still love and use brushes/sponges from a lot of the same brands, however I have definitely discovered a new favourite in my Spectrum Brushes this year - they're awesome! However, one thing that hasn't changed one bit is that I do still use the exact same products when it comes to cleaning my brushes/sponges - if it ain't broke, don't fix it...

Nails-wise, as always, my favourites change year on year as I try out new polishes every year, so my go-to's from 2019 have obviously switched up! More on that in my upcoming 2020 Favourites. However, I would say all of the 'Tools' that I use for my Nails are pretty much the same as they were last year!

Then, finally, we have 'The Best Of The Rest' - a.k.a. Bodycare, Skincare and Haircare! My Perfume is still the same, though I do have a new favourite body spray this year that's replaced my I Heart Revolution X Soph Vanilla Creme Brulee! I no longer use my Zoella Beauty Banana Foam Body Wash (and it's also no longer made - boo!), but I do still love my classic Soap and Glory Body Scrubs. S&G also still do my favourite Body Butters/Lotions/Moisturisers and also Heel Genius (a.k.a. the best foot cream ever) and if I ever do tan, the Dove DermaSpa Gradual Self Tan remains my go-to. So, really not much change in the Bodycare department! As for Haircare, in all honesty the only change at all is my new go-to hair mask/treatment. I now have a couple of new favourites that have definitely replaced my old favourites! Then, finally, for Skincare - once again, the only change I can see is in the mask department. Again, I certainly have one or two new go-to's for when I want a good face mask - and you know I'll be sharing them with you all in my 2020 Favourites...
