It's time for the second and last instalment of my 2019 Beauty Favourites! If you haven't seen the first part yet - where I talked all things Makeup, Nails and Tools - you can find it here, but today I'm gonna be rounding things up with Bath and Body, Haircare and Skincare! All of my favourite, holy grail picks for those three categories for the entire year - let's get started...
Bath and Body:
BEST PERFUME - Ghost Deep Night Eau De Toilette - I just had to give this lovely perfume a mention as since trying it earlier on in 2019, it's the only one I've reached for all year! A gorgeous rich, musky scent that's slightly sweet but without being sugary and sickly - I love it! Just the sort of perfume I tend to always go for, I had a feeling when buying this that it'd become a new favourite - and luckily, I was not wrong... MENTIONED HERE.
BEST BODY SPRAY - I Heart Revolution X Soph Vanilla and Creme Brulee Body Mist - If I wasn't reaching for a perfume - perhaps for days when I was at work, not doing any particularly special or just wanted something a little less intense that day - I'd of course reach for a body mist instead! And this year, it was this one from I Heart Revolution which continued to be my go-to. Again, this is a lovely, sweet-but-slightly-musky scent ad whilst it is a body spray and not a proper perfume, I find it still lasts and hangs around well, which is really great too!

BEST BODY WASH - Zoella Beauty Fruits Collection 'Banana Foam' Body Wash - This was by far my favourite and most-used body wash in 2019. Zoella Beauty as of 2020 will be no more (boo!) but for the last Summer Collection in 2019, they continued to bring some awesome products - this being one of them! As the name implies, it's one of those body washes that dispenses as a thick foam and lathers up instantly once in contact with damp skin. It really cleanses your skin nicely, but never leaves it feeling dry or stripped in anyway. The scent is perhaps my favourite thing though - it's definitely got that spot-on fake banana scent that I personally love! MENTIONED HERE.
BEST BODY SCRUB - Soap and Glory Body Scrubs - The body scrubs overall from Soap and Glory have by far been my most-loved, used and bought of 2019! I can't name just one as honestly, I've switched between all of them throughout the year (mainly the 'Sugar Crush', 'Smoothie Star' and 'Flake Away') and all of them are just as amazing as each other. Scrubby enough to get the job done, but not at all harsh or aggravating on the skin at all and there's a scent for everyone, no matter what your preference may be! The tubs are giant and last ages too. MENTIONED HERE.
BEST BODY MOISTURISER/BUTTER/LOTION - Soap and Glory The Righteous Body Butter - Another Bath and Body fave for 2019 from Soap and Glory is their infamous Righteous Body Butter. And let me tell you, this is infamous for very good reason. This is definitely one of the best body butters out there. In genera, like their body scrubs, Soap and Glory do some great body butters/lotions/creams overall but I think this one is possibly my favourite of them all. So thick and rich in texture, yet sinks into the skin in no time at all and leaves behind no greasy residue and a little goes such a long way!
BEST TANNING PRODUCT - Dove DermaSpa Summer Revived Light-Medium Gradual Self Tan - I'm not a big 'tanner', but if I ever do fancy adding some faux colour - gradual tans are my thing - and this one from Dove remained my favourite in 2019. Easy to apply, dries quickly, doesn't feel heavy or uncomfortable on the skin and gradually adds such a nice tint to the skin! It definitely does something from the first application but can be reapplied to intensify and build things up too. And it does so well, layering nicely and in terms of longevity - it lasts well and wears well too and when it is time to remove, it's relatively foolproof. The colour itself is also a really nice, non-orangey, olive toned shade that's quite 'natural' looking and almost like an actual tan!
BEST FOOT CREAM - Soap and Glory 'Heel Genius' Foot Cream - Finally for this section, I just had to mention this awesome foot cream once again. I'm pretty sure this has appeared in every Yearly Favourites I've ever done on Dainty Ditsy as it's always been my favourite foot cream and I've never found anything better, or even wanted to try anything else. Unlike other foot creams out there, this one not only deeply moisturises your feet - it also actually helps repair them and keep them in better condition too! With other foot creams, as soon as you take a break from putting them on your feet will return to their cracked, crusty (ew) selves but with this one, you don't have to religiously apply this every single night and yet your feet will stay just as soft, smooth and supple - yay!

Haircare:
BEST DRY SHAMPOO - Batiste 'Bare' Dry Shampoo - If I ever need a dry shampoo - whether it be to help me extend my hair wash that extra day or maybe to just add a little extra volume to my root - this is still the one I reach for and the one I loved the most in 2019. An oldie, but goldie classic! Yes, it is a little less fine and invisible as some newer formulas to the market, but in my opinion it does the actual job of absorbing excess oil and/or adding that texture better and for that, I really don't mind having to take that extra bit of time working it in to make sure there's no white cast or product build-up! MENTIONED HERE.
BEST SINGLE SHAMPOO - Primark Super Blends Coconut and Cactus Flower Strengthening Shampoo - This was a more recent addition to my routine in 2019 but it's made such a big impression so far that I couldn't not add it into this line-up of Hair Favourites for the year! This single shampoo from Primark is only £1 each - yep, that's right, only a pound! - and it's amazing! Not only is the scent of this just divine - super sweet and coconut that almost smells like Malibu, which is no bad thing in my opinion - the actual shampoo itself is a winner in my eyes. You do not need a lot of this to really get a good lather going on in the hair and it really does leave my hair in such great shape. So soft, smooth, silky and shiny - and of course smelling amazing too! With my everyday shampoo and conditioner duo having toning properties and my other option being my purple shampoo, I personally love a good 'normal' single shampoo for days when I don't want to tone my hair at all (perhaps after having my hair done, when it's usually a little too cool-toned for my liking) and this one has fast become my new staple for just that. MENTIONED HERE.
BEST SINGLE CONDITIONER/MASK - Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Colour Deep Treatment - Unfortunately not pictured as I recently used my last bottle all up! I do love a good deep conditioner or hair mask to leave on for as long as possible before rinsing off and this year, I've had two main favourites! This one from Aussie has been a staple for years and years now and in 2019 - that was no different. It's a classic, holy grail for a reason - this is an awesome deep conditioner! This leave my hair feeling so soft and smooth and looking so shiny too! The scent it leaves behind on my hair is so lovely and kinda nostalgic now too - given how many years I've loved this products (and Aussie in general) for! MENTIONED HERE.
Tresemme Keratin Smooth Mask - After using up my last bottle of the Aussie, I found this in my drawer back from a gift set I got for Christmas a couple of years back. I decided it was finally time to try and use it all up and I'm so glad I did as I think I've found a new favourite! I did think before trying that I'd have a good experience as I have enjoyed the Tresemme Keratin Smooth Range before - and I was not wrong. Again, this leaves my hair is such good condition and really does make it so easy and manageable to style too. I think I've found another option for when I fancy a switch-up from my faithful Aussie 3 Minute Miracle... MENTIONED HERE.
BEST SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER DUO - OGX Lavender Platinum - This range remained my staple when it came to my go-to shampoo and conditioner duo which I'd reach for and use most regularly on my hair. The shampoo thoroughly cleanses my hair without stripping it; whilst the conditioner leaves my hair feeling super soft, silky and smooth. Not only that though, but both have slight toning properties and a UV filter so help keep my bleached blonde hair of a good colour in-between properly purple shampooing it and also helping to shield it from the Sun's rays - so avoiding any unnecessary damage! MENTIONED HERE.
BEST TONER - Lee Stafford Bleach Blondes Purple Shampoo - This is my faithful, staple purple shampoo that I used basically all of 2019. I've tried quite a few purple shampoos/toners and of them all - I think this one is the best option. A deep, rich purple colour that really knocks out those brassy tones in an instant, however I also find it to not be too potent in that it makes my hair too cool-toned and silver. I think you could indeed get this purple shampoo to do that, but only by leaving it on your hair for a while so if you don;t want that (like me), just wash it straight off and you'll be fine! It's easy to control, if you get what I mean. It also, unlike some others purple shampoos, doesn't leave my hair feeling stripped or dry at all - which, having dyed hair, is an essential for me. I love this one!
BEST TREATMENT - L'Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil - I personally love using a separate oil or treatment on my hair before, after or during heat styling and this year I found this one from L'Oreal - and loved it! I've heard pretty amazing things about this hair oil over the years and now I've at last tried it out for myself - I can certainly see why. This leaves my hair feeling and looking in really great shape. It also makes it really smooth, easy to style and keeps it frizz-free and smooth too. There's even heat protectant in there, so I really love smoothing some of this on before blow-drying, straightening or curling my hair! Gotta protect your tresses after all... MENTIONED HERE.
BEST HEAT PROTECTANT - Tresemme Heat Defence Styling Spray - Talking of heat defence - in terms of an actual heat defence spray, this is the one I used and loved all throughout 2019! A classic, but for good reason - this is definitely one of the best ones out there. You get a good amount, a bottle lasts for ages and the spray on it is nice and fine so gently mists onto the hair, but not too fine that you can't feel where you've sprayed it, or even that you've sprayed it at all! Of course, with heat protecting sprays it's difficult to know whether they actually work well but if we're going on how my hair feels after using this and also overall - I'd say it's dong its job just fine... MENTIONED HERE.
BEST STYLING SPRAY - Lee Stafford Dehumidifier Spray - I don't struggle with frizzy hair as much as I used to, but if I do or know that my hair might go frizzy that day (maybe if it's especially warm or rainy) I spritz some of this in and it continues to work a treat. Lightweight, invisible feeling in the hair but really helps keep my style in place any my hair super smooth and sleek.
BEST HAIRSPRAY - L'Oreal Elnett Extra Strength Hairspray - I really only use hairspray on my hair if I'm curling it and this one from L'Oreal remains my favourite. Really keeps my style in place all day or night long but doesn't leave my hair heavy, dry or 'crunchy' feeling - the best of both worlds when it comes to hairspray! The smell is so nostalgic too!
BEST TOOLS - Wet Brush - It might sound weird to have a favourite hair brush but seriously - once you've tried this brush, your life will change! No more snagging through your hair, spending ages trying to get any tangles out and having to be super careful - this brush glides through hair with ease, immediately detangling and smoothing it out but doing so that much more gently. These days I get so much less breakage or loss of hair because of this brush - and that's just why I still use it everyday!
Wet Brush Speedy Dry Brush - However, this year I did add another brush to my stash - on the back of having so much success with the original Wet Brush! Despite how much I love the classic Wet Brush, you can't use it when actual blow-drying you hair - something I really wanted to be able to do. So, I bought this one which you can use with heat and it's quickly become another go-to! Makes blow-drying your hair, smoothing it out so much easier and I actually find the vents in the brush really do help dry your hair quicker too! MENTIONED HERE.
Then, as is the same as before, I am still absolutely loving my Babyliss Boutique Salon Power Hairdryer for blow-drying my hair and my GHD Straighteners for straightening, curling or just generally styling my hair!

Skincare:
BEST REMOVER - Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water - This classic staple remained my go-to in 2019 in terms of taking my makeup off and that first, initial cleansing step. Takes all my makeup off effectively and quickly, without being harsh or aggregating on my sensitive skin at all! I doubt I'll ever try another micellar water I love just as much or more than this one...
BEST CLEANSING PRODUCT - Superdrug Naturally Radiant Hot Cloth Cleanser - In terms of my second step of cleansing - for really making sure every scrap of makeup is off and actually cleaning my skin itself - this one has to take the top spot! I simply massage this into damp skin before using the muslin that comes with it to gently polish it off and it not only takes off any remaining makeup or general grime (ew) that you may not have even thought was on there, it also leaves my skin feeling so super soft and nourished too! MENTIONED HERE.
BEST FACIAL EXFOLIATOR - Superdrug Naturally Radiant Glycolic Cleansing Pads - These have remained my staple exfoliator for 2019. I don't really use manual exfoliators as much anymore - apart from perhaps occasionally for around my nose where dead skin and texture tends to build up more - and for that, I love the one from the Superdrug Naturally Radiant range! Aside from that, I love myself a good acid exfoliating pad - and these ones right here are still my staple! Get the job done, leaving my skin feeling so much more refreshed feeling and smooth in texture. Winner!
BEST DAY AND NIGHT CREAMS - Superdrug Naturally Radiant Day and Night Creams - These day and night creams remained my go-to this year. Another inclusion from the awesome Superdrug Naturally Radiant Range - and for good reason too! The day cream hydrates my skin perfectly in the morning, whilst working great underneath makeup; whilst the night cream is a tad thicker and more rich and so intensively works to nourish overnight!
BEST FACIAL SUNSCREEN - Soap and Glory Make Yourself Youthful Sunshield Superfluid SPF50+ - I do love a good facial sunscreen for basically everyday as it's so important to protect your skin from the damaging effects of the sun and this one continued to be my staple! Does the job, doesn't leave my skin feeling dry at all and perhaps most importantly - never leaves behind any white cast!
BEST TREATMENT - Nip + Fab Teen Skin Fix Spot Zap - I'm very lucky in the fact that I don't often get spots, but if I ever so - this is the product I reach for. This really helps to shrink and calm down a blemish overnight and the handy roll-on applicator not only makes it easy to apply, but also kinda helps cool things down too!
BEST EYE CREAM - Superdrug Naturally Radiant Brightening Eye Cream - This eye cream - again, from the same Naturally Radiant Collection - remained my favourite this year. Doesn't irritate my eye area, leaves it feeling and looking nice and smooth and hydrated, whilst also slightly brightening up any darkness under there too!
BEST FACE MASK - Bio Glow Nature Inspired Clean Skin Papaya Peel Off Mask - Face Masks are a staple in my Skincare Routine and this was no different in 2019. This tube was actually a new find right at the start of 2019 (I received it in my stocking for Christmas) and I've loved it ever since. A true peel off mask, you simply apply a decent layer onto the skin, leave it to set for a few minutes before very peeling it off and not only is it super satisfying, it works a treat too! Removes any dead skin and unwanted texture, not harsh at all on my sensitive skin and leaves it feeling super smooth and soft! Especially great for around my nose where dead skin cells and general texture tends to collect even more so. MENTIONED HERE.
L'Oréal Pure Clay 'Glow' Mask - I also had to give a well-deserved mention to this face mask as if I wasn't using the above offering in 2019 - I would usually be using this one instead! A more 'traditional', soft clay mask that you wash off at the end when you're done rather than peel off, this does the job perfectly. The fine exfoliating particles also help to buff away dead skin cells and leave my skin feeling and looking smooth and soft, whilst the main bulk of the clay mask really does help nourish and replenish the skin. The two factors combined really do ensure this mask lives up to its name - it truly does give your skin a lovely glow!
So there we have it - the second and final part of my 2019 Beauty Favourites! And all in all, that's the whole thing done and dusted! I really hope you enjoyed seeing what I've been loving beauty-wise this past year (although I'm sure if you've read round these parts before at any time in 2019 you'll probably have guessed a lot of the products already). I for one really do love doing these parts year on year. Not only to reflect and re-cap on all of my favourites over the past 12 months, but also to be able to look back and compare how they all change and switch around years on. I can't believe this time, next year - I'll be doing my 2020 Favourites! Crazy. Because, rest assured, I've been doing this so many years now that I just have to continue the tradition...
