Empties #30

It's time once again to round up all of my empty, fully-finished beauty products that I've used up to their very last drop recently! A good mix this time I think, with a lot of good'un's and firm favourites. Let's take a closer look...

MAYBELLINE DREAM SATIN LIQUID FOUNDATION IN '02 FAIR BEIGE' - Starting with Makeup, I really liked this foundation. It's took me a while to get through it as since buying it, I found other favourites (namely, Revolution's Conceal and Define) but I still really enjoy this one. A nice, medium coverage with a not too matte, nor too dewy, skin-like finish. It sits really nicely, lasts super well and is really comfortable too. I feel like this foundation, whilst I may not repurchase right now, is definitely one I can see myself coming back to at some point if I need a good foundation...

REVOLUTION SUPERSIZE CONCEAL AND DEFINE CONCEALER IN 'C1' - We all know by now how much I love this concealer. So much so that when Revolution released an even bigger tube, I knew I had to snap it up. And in short, I'm really glad I did. Same great formula, just even more of it! This tube lasted much longer than the 'normal' version and it works out even more affordable - what's not to love?

LOTTIE LONDON 'READY, SET! GO' TRANSLUCENT FINISHING POWDER - Another makeup favourite that I've used all up - this loose powder is awesome. So finely-milled, never makes my skin look or feel heavy in anyway and works wonders for 'baking' my under-eyes or any other areas of my face. Effectively sets and mattifies, locking things into place all day/night long, without making my skin look dry or cakey. I definitely think this is my favourite translucent loose powder I've tried!

PRIMARK SKINNY BROW PENCILS IN 'TAN' AND 'BROWN' - In terms of filling in my brows, it's always a fine brow pencil for me and these ones from Primark were pretty darn good, I must admit. I always like to use two shades, one deeper for the main bulk of the brow and one lighter for feathering in the front and as this pencil is so, so affordable (like, £2 each-type affordable) I managed to snap up the colours I wanted way, way cheaper than my previous fave. But, not only that, it's actually an awesome pencil too. Creamy enough to glide on easily, waxy enough to allow complete control and also ensure your brows actually stay in place. Well-pigmented, good colour matches for me personally and the super-skinny pencil means you can fill your brows in a really nice, 'natural' way, with a really precise shape too.

REVOLUTION 'THE MASCARA REVOLUTION' MASCARA - Finally Revolution launched a mascara and I just had to try it. And, having now used it all up, I quite like it. It's definitely a very 'full-on', thick, volumising mascara that does require good application to ensure things don't go too heavy or clumpy - but once you get the knack, it does wonders for the lashes. The brush really gets into the lashes and makes them so intense, thick and full and I feel like it only gets better as the mascara dries out more, as at first I did find the formula a little too 'wet'. So, if you have this mascara, keep using it as it seems to improve the more you use it!

MAYBELLINE THE FALSIES MASCARA - Another good mascara, this time a bit of a redisocvery! I used to love this one from Maybelline and when they kind of 're-released' and repackaged it last year, I thought I'd give it another go - and I'm pretty pleased I did! I still really enjoy this mascara. It's a bit more of a 'fail safe' as it kinda just works no matter how you apply it, straight away. Again, I find this works better the more you use it - this time, as it seems to get more 'wet' as you go along - and I really like the effect it gives my lashes. It's still very volumising, but also really fans my lashes out, giving a lot of length and a nice curly finish too. I feel like this will most likely always be a mascara I know I can come back too...

PRIMARK BEAUTY BLEND AND CLEANSE MAKEUP BRUSH CLEANSING SPRAY - I finally have a new favourite 'spot cleaner' for my makeup brushes. Mainly for my eyeshadow brushes, when I just want to clean them quickly, without doing a deep clean and want them almost instantly dry and ready to use again afterwards - I always reach for a spot cleanser - and this one from Primark has become a new go-to. So, so affordable and yet does the job perfectly! Instantly cleans and removes colour and pigment from my eye brushes and in no time at all, they're completely dry and ready to get using again! Ideal for when you're using a load of different colours and need to change colours and brushes a lot. I think this will be the spot cleanser I buy on repeat from now on!

BARRY M SUNSET TOP COAT - This is probably my favourite top coat for my nails. Not only does it give them a super-shiny, glossy, gel-like finish, it's the only one I've tried that instantly dries and sets my nails fully into place. Like, not just touch-dry, I'm talking pillow-proof. I can paint my nails, use this, wait for it to dry, go to bed and my nails the next morning are just the same. No smudges, dents - nothing. So many top coats leave your nails touch-dry, but not fully dry and this one is one of the few that isn't - so I know I will definitely continue using this!

SUPERDRUG NATURALLY RADIANT DAY CREAM - Moving onto Skincare, this is my new favourite day cream. Along with the matching night cream, this has become my new go-to duo for moisturising my face. This day especially is great - lightweight, sinks in quickly, perfect under make-up, provides SPF and leaves my skin feeling so hydrated and plump too! I've already for a new one on the go...

GARNIER SKINACTIVE NATURAL ROSE WATER TONER - I actually picked this up as an alternative to my Glycolic Cleansing Pads I use (from the same Superdrug Naturally Range I mentioned above) when I couldn't get hold of them and I quite liked it. Obviously, when I could get my hands on my usual 'toner', I soon switched back, but when this was all I had, I enjoyed using it. It never irritated my sensitive skin, helped ensure my makeup was thoroughly removed and left my skin feeling nice and cleansed, but no stripped or tight afterwards, which is always important!

SOAP AND GLORY 'THE RUSHOWER' DRY SHAMPOO - Haircare-wise, I think I got this dry shampoo as part of a gift set and so I was pretty excited t see how it compared to my usual favourites. And, it's actually pretty good. I still kinda prefer my usual go-to's, Batiste or COLAB, but it's still quite a decent dry shampoo. It gets rid of any unwanted grease at the roots, doesn't leave any white cast behind or make my hair feel product-laden in anyway at all. I suppose I just still prefer the likes of Batiste or COLAB which offer different fragrances (and an unfragranced option too). I love the classic S&G scent, just perhaps not so much in my hair.

OGX RENEWING MOROCCAN ARGAN OIL WEIGHTLESS REVIVING DRY OIL - A hair product I really love, is this one from OGX. It's no secret that I love the haircare from OGX and this product is no exception. I've tried their 'dry oils' before and loved them and this one is possibly the best one I've used so far. Having dry/damaged hair that's been bleached, I always make taking upmost care of my hair a real priority and I feel like this is perfect for doing just that. It helps give my hair loads of hydration, but at the same time never weighs it down. My hair always looks and feels really shiny, smooth well-conditioned - what's not to love?

AUSSIE 3 MINUTE MIRACLE COLOUR TREATMENT - Finally for Hair, again, its no secret I love the 3 Minute Miracle from Aussie. I've loved it for so many years, but recently I found this 'Colour' Version and I think it may be the best one I've used so far. Obviously, having coloured/bleached hair, I like to cater my haircare towards that and I feel like this does that very well. I love to slather my hair with this, wrap it up in a hair turban and leave it for as long as possible and let me tell you, once I've rinsed this out, it leaves my hair feeling and looking so soft, smooth and shiny! I will always repurchase this version from now on!

LUSH SLEEPY BODY LOTION - Bodycare-wise, I received this a couple of Christmases ago as a gift and not only is this a great body lotion, I really do feel it helps get a better night's sleep too! Whenever I use it, the sweet lavender scent really helps to calm and relax - I love it. The lotion itself also sinks in pretty quickly, but deewply hydrates my body well too. I definitely want to pick up another of these soon!

ZOELLA BEAUTY TUTTI FRUITY 'CANDY CREAM' SOFTENING BODY LOTION - Last, but by no means least - I finally finished this body lotion up recently. I say 'finally', as I've had this kicking about in my stash for a while but made it my mission this year to use it all up at last and I finally achieved that a few weeks ago! This was unfortunately Limited Edition (as all of the yearly Zoella Beauty ranges tend to be) but I really liked this - a nice, hydrating lotion that sinks in quickly and left my skin feeling really soft and smooth. Love!
