Somehow, it's the end of June and it's time to run through everything beauty-wise that I've been using a lot and generally loving a lot over the past month! A smaller selection of goodies this time round, but it's full of a lot of good'uns and firm favourites that I just know I'll be obsessing over for a long time to come. Let's get into it...
BPERFECT X STACEY-MARIE CARNIVAL PALETTE - The first and possibly my favourite favourite of them all has to be this gorgeous, awesome eyeshadow palette. One of my gifts from my birthday last month, I finally got round to giving it a try throughout June and to put it simply, have been loving it ever since! You can find my full rave review here, but basically - this is possibly my new favourite eyeshadow palette. I mean, for £40 (my most expensive palette I've ever owned so far), I was rather hoping and expecting it would be - but let me tell you, I am so super happy it actually is. The mattes are really creamy, so easy to apply and blend and really hold their pigment well without needing keep reapplying and blending over and over again, like I have to with most palettes I've used before. The shimmers are so intense and foiled-like, without even needing a dampened brush or use of a finger to apply onto the lid. The bright colour scheme (but also with a few handy neutrals thrown in for good measure) allows you to create so many different looks and honestly, I feel like I've only scratched the surface so far. I can't wait to experiment even more...
WET N WILD MEGAGLO HIGHLIGHTER IN 'BLOOM TIME' - I was so excited to finally get my hands on this highlighter when it at last made its way over to the UK recently and oh my, was it worth the wait. The same awesome formula as my other favourite from the line - 'Blossom Glow' - but just another super-pretty shade! This is like such a lovely, warm, rose gold colour. It's slightly deeper than 'Blossom Glow' but still just light enough to work on my paler skin-tone and I love it! I can definitely see myself getting a tonne of use out of this, especially over the next few warmer months...
BEAUTY BAY EYE BRUSHES - I repurchased a few of my favourite single Beauty Bay eyeshadow brushes this month so that I had more than just the one of each style and so far, I feel like it's only served to reignite my love for them! So cheap, but such great quality brushes and I love how you can buy singles so you only have the styles you really want too. Definitely highly recommend if you're after some new eye brushes...
BARRY M GELLY NAIL PAINTS IN 'BANANA SPLIT' AND 'PINK GRAPEFRUIT' - Moving onto Nails, I have some new favourite colours - two being these ones right here! Released as part of their new Gelly Summer 2019 Range, these are indeed perfect hues for the warmer months. The former, 'Banana Split' is a true yellow and is wholly unique to anything else I've ever owned or used before and so far, I actually really rather enjoy it. It's different, but in a good way and I can see myself using it a lot over the coming months. Then we have the latter, 'Pink Grapefruit', a pinky-coral that is perhaps not-so-unique in my personal stash, but I love it nevertheless. You can never have too many warm pink nail polishes in your collection, right? And especially when they're as pretty as this one. It's a classic colour for me and so, I just know it'll always get a lot of love in my stash...
BARRY M GLAZE TOPCOAT IN 'FORTUNE TELLER' - Another nail polish that I tried in June and have been obsessing over ever since is this gorgeous glittery 'topper', also from Barry M! This another new release from them, nails-wise, and so far - so good. I have actually since discovered that this is indeed an actual top coat, just with added sparkle and though I have a lot of clear, glittery top coat-type polishes in my stash, this one is most definitely different to any other. Its iridescent, almost holographic sparkles are shaped almost like strips and almost give such a gorgeous, scattered-confetti type effect and I love it! You can go for the one layer if you want a more 'subtle', less dense coating or build it up with an extra one to make the glitter more of a solid feature and either way, both finishes looks super-pretty and eye-catching.
SOAP AND GLORY 'THE BREAKFAST SCRUB' BODY SCRUB - Finally, we have a Bodycare fave, a rediscovered one at that too! When I was in need of a new body scrub recently, this one from Soap and Glory stood out to me on the shelves, I instantly remembered how much I used to love it and decided to give it another whirl. And I'm so glad I did - I love it all over again! So scrubby, but still not too harsh on the skin and the scent of this one is just so, so delicious too. Vanilla-ry, slightly almond-y, just generally very yummy and almost good enough to eat. This massive tub will last me for ages too...
So, there we have it - all of my new beauty favourites from May! As I said, with it being my Birthday this month, I feel like that both inspired me to try a load of awesome new products and also caused me to try some others as a result of buying/being gifted them too. And, I'm pretty happy with what I discovered this month. Some proper, new, staple favourites. Yay!
