It's been a little while since I last did a classic 'Polish Pick' round these parts but with me adding a grand total of three new lacquers into my collection lately (which you can find more about in one of my recent posts here) - let's just say, there'll be a few new ones on the way. The first being this post right here, featuring one of the new Barry M Gelly Nail Paints from the Summer 2019 Range...
So, this first shade in particular is 'Banana Split' - a gorgeous, true, bright yellow. I don't think I have ever actually tried or used a true yellow nail polish before, so when I saw Barry M were finally adding one to their range this Summer, I knew I had to pick it up to give a try. Yellow can be a slightly controversial colour to wear on the nails as some deem it unflattering - and perhaps that's why I've never tried it on my own nails before - but there's something about the tone of this one that really appealed to me. As I said, because it's such a true, 'flat' colour with no overbearing undertones, I felt like this could work perfectly. And, you know what - I really like it! It's so different for me and completely unique to anything else in my nail polish collection already and I can't wait to get even more use out of it throughout the next few months. I think this'll make for an awesome colour to use in-conjunction with other lacquers in my stash (glitter top coats especially so) too...
