Current Go-To Glows...

It's finally, 'officially' Summer (or at least, that's what time time of year should be) and so, I'm even more after getting my glow on and dosing myself in a tonne of highlighter. Not like that's not what I do usually, all day everyday, though. Nevertheless, let's talk about all of the glow-givers that I've been loving especially so lately...

WET N WILD MEGAGLO HIGHLIGHTER IN 'BLOOM TIME' - The newest addition to my highlighter stash - this one is awesome! I already love 'Blossom Glow' and as soon as I saw this shade crop up in some videos a few months back from various American Youtubers that I watch, I knew that shade would be next on my to-try list as soon as it finally made its way over to UK shores. And, recently, that time came at last and let me tell you - it was more than worth it. It's like 'Blossom Glow', just a smidgen deeper (though still light enough to work on my paler skin-tone) and with a slightly warmer, rose gold undertone to it. With the same super-blinding, though very smooth and non-glittery formula - it's a solid 'Yes' from me...

OFRA X NIKKIE TUTORIALS HIGHLIGHTER IN 'GLAZED DONUT' - Another recent favourite that I actually received for my Birthday last month - I love this one, so much! I thought it was about time I tried a slightly more expensive/luxury/high-end/whatever you call it highlighter - and where better to start than OFRA? I'd heard so many amazing, rave reviews about all of their highlighters over the years and there was one in particular that had caught my attention - 'Glazed Donut'. A collaboration with the Glow Queen herself, Nikkie Tutorials, I had an inkling this was going to be pretty damn good - and it really, really is. A gorgeous, pale pearlescent white shade that's just perfect for my paler complexion and with an equally amazing formula to match. This stuff is just so creamy and almost glides onto the skin with no effort at all. It's the only highlighter I've ever tried that whilst is super-blinding, looks as if you've applied nothing at all until it catches the light. It's not glittery or chunky in anyway, it just looks so pretty and sheeney. I love love love it and am now very tempted to try more highlighters on offer from OFRA...

OBSESSION 'MEGA LIGHTNING' HIGHLIGHTER - This one has fast become one of, if not perhaps even my favourite drugstore highlighter. At least right now, that is. I picked this up after hearing MakeMeUpMissa rave about another shade in the range - 'Mega Honey' - and instantly thought, "I need to try this formula!" 'Mega Lightning' looked to be a slightly better shade match for me, so I picked it up to give a go - and have been in-love with it ever since. The marbled, white-gold colour swirls together to create such an ideal tone of glow for my paler skin-tone and the formula, oh the formula! So creamy and with such a lovely, sheeney finish that's very intense and blinding, but not chunky or sparkly in anyway at all. It's just so, so good and for only £3 too! Madness...

SOPH X REVOLUTION HIGHLIGHTER PALETTE - It wouldn't be a post from me if I didn't mention Revolution in some way - and so, here we have the amazing Soph Highlighter Palette. Still to this day, this palette remains one of my favourites in my highlighter collection. I can luckily use at least four of the shades - which usually, for a palette isn't typical - and both the colour choices and formulation combined makes this palette a firm winner for me. You've got your icy white, your champagnes and golds, deeper bronzes and even a couple of 'fun' colours with a pink and lilac! They all apply onto the skin so intensely (just as I'd expect from a SophDoesNails highlighter palette) and almost melt onto the skin, depositing such a gorgeous glow that - once again - is super-smooth and sheeney, with no chunky glitter in sight. Can you tell by now what type of highlighters I go for?

MAYBELLINE MASTER CHROME METALLIC HIGHLIGHTER IN 'MOLTEN ROSE GOLD' - Last, but certainly by no means least - we come to this awesome offering from Maybelline. I feel like as soon as we come to the 'warmer' months, pinky-toned highlighters are what I want to reach for a lot - hence why this one has gone back into my 'everyday' rotation! This is such a beautiful highlighter! After hearing many good things, I decided to give it a whirl - and I'm super-happy I did. This is a gorgeous, warm rose gold shade that's kinda similar to Wet n Wild's 'Bloom Time' that I mentioned at the very start of this post and I love it. Despite being a touch 'deeper' and with a more golden undertone, it works perfectly well for my paler skin-tone and deposits such a lovely, intense glow. Yay!
