The whole 'holographic' trend is huge right now. I don't know quite what kicked it off, but at the moment, you can get basically everything and anything in holographic form. Beauty-wise, that theme's continued in terms of makeup products and now - nails seems to be following suit too. I am always up for trying a new trend for your talons and so I picked up one holo-fied nail lacquer that caught my eye the most - Barry M Molten Metal Nail Paint in 'Holographic Lights' - to try out and use for this very look right 'ere. It's super out-there, super sparkly but yet super pretty. Let's have a look, shall we?
As I said, the main 'star of the show', shall we say, in this nail look is one of the Molten Metals by good ol' Barry M. I love these polishes - they're super shimmery, yet with a fully opaque, smooth metallic finish and the colour selection is just all kinds of amazing. This shade 'Holographic Lights' is one of the newer additions and is bang on trend right now and very unique too - especially in the drugstore. I feel like anything I've seen like it before has always belonged to more luxury, or just simply more expensive brands, whilst the more affordable end of the spectrum is yet to fully catch up - until now, that is. And oh my, was it worth the wait as this is a really stunning shade. It's exactly what it says on the tin - full on, holographic goodness. I did find it took a good three coats to build it up to the level of opacity I wanted, but once I did, I loved the finished result. Because of the fact it's actually quite sheer, I actually feel like this would also work as a great top coat if you fancy just adding a touch of holographic-ness to your usual, everyday nail polish hues as opposed to going all out with it alone. Whatever way - it's a gorgeous shade - and for such an affordable, accessible price, you really cannot go wrong. Go out and get it, now...
