This post comes as a result of two things - firstly, my excitement to try both of the new nail polishes I picked up as part of my last post here, but also my eagerness to showcase them to you lovely lot too. Initially, I wanted to do separate 'Polish Picks', but actually on closer inspection, I noticed that they in fact would look rather nice paired together - so that's exactly what I did...
I first went in with the Maybelline Superstay 7 Day Metallic Silk Polish in 'Rose Veil' and this is one of the most gorgeous shades I have ever added to my collection. Of the three in the range, it was inevitable that I would plump for the pinky, rose gold hue and I have to admit - I am so glad I did. As always with all of the Maybelline Superstay's; the rounded, wide brush makes it a dream to apply, the colour is rich and vibrant and with this one in particular, I only needed one coat (yes, ONE COAT!) to achieve full opacity. Crazy stuff.
Of course, you could just apply your top coat and leave things there for an everyday look, but to make the whole look even more glam - I reached for the other new addition to my collection - the Maybelline Color Show Pretty Woman Polish in 'Top Coat Tweedy'. This is a really pretty glitter top coat with a mixture of rose gold and silver long thin, glitter strands. On the nails, it almost gives a confetti-type effect and actually looks rather delicate and subtle in comparison to some heavier glitter polishes I've used before.
Together, you get a really pretty, very copper-tinged look - a must for all you rose gold lover out there (myself included)...
Your nails look so pretty! Love them x
