Polish Pick: Barry M Hi-Shine Gelly Effect in 'Peanut Butter'

Only this time last week I was showcasing this look on my nails and now, here I am again, giving you a look into what's currently residing on my ol' talons. If you read this post I did last week, you'll know that I recently picked up a brand new shade from the 'Hi-Shine Gelly Effect' nail paint range by Barry M and I instantly knew that afterwards, I'd need to be featuring it in a post of this type, asap. Yet another nude-toned shade, it's something a little different for me but you know what? I'm rather liking it...

This is 'Peanut Butter' and admittedly, while the name is pretty darn delicious, the shade itself is rather yummy too. A caramel-tinged neutral hue, I actually find this to be a super flattering colour. While it is very much warm-toned, it isn't too much so that it looks kinda bizarre on my paler skintone, nor is it too ashy that it completely washes things out. It strikes the perfect balance in-between the two and I love the finished effect. As always with pretty much every Gelly Nail Paint I've tried, this stuff goes on in two, even layers and dries down to a finish that's fully opaque and super glossy and shiny too. Me? Getting into the nude tones on my nails? It may just be happening...

The Gelly formulas are one of my favourites too. So easy to apply.
