Over the past couple of years, I have become rather a big fan of Makeup Revolution. A makeup brand that sits firmly on the cheaper end of the price spectrum, and yet offers what are often some of the best, high-quality products on the whole market - I have tried a fair few of their products and I don't think there is a single one which hasn't thoroughly impressed me. However, I don't think I've ever done a proper, stand-alone haul of items where I've bought a load of items all at once, before. Until now, that is. The other day, I placed a rather beefy order on TamBeauty (a.k.a. the online home of Makeup Revolution, plus a few other 'sister' brands such as I Heart Makeup and Makeup Obsession) of a couple of items I'd been thinking about purchasing for a little while, plus some new additions that caught my eye. And, seeing as I've never done anything like this before - I figured I'd show you all just what I decided to pick up. Let's get started...
Firstly, we have what was the product that caused me to place an order in the first place - the Makeup Revolution Life On The Dance Floor 'Guest List' Eyeshadow Palette. Launched at the end of last year with a few other Limited Edition Palettes (plus corresponding lipsticks) for the festive season, I mentioned this in my 'Christmas Wishlist' post here, saying how much I really wanted it in my life. Ever since trying - and loving - the Soph X Makeup Revolution Eyeshadow Palette last year, I have really wanted to try some more palettes they have on offer and as soon as this one was released, I knew I wanted to pick it up. Seeing as I wasn't lucky enough to receive it as a Christmas gift, I decided to just go and buy it myself as honestly - I just needed it in my life. It's a similar set-up as the Soph X Palette (with 24 shades for £10 - all in rectangular-shaped pans), but this time, it's wholly comprised of warm-toned shades that we all know and love. From rich browns to bright oranges; pretty pinks, purples and mauves - it's basically all of my favourite colours and tones of eyeshadows and I am so super happy to finally have them all in one single palette. If the quality is anything like my beloved Soph X Palette (which I am very sure will be the case) - I think it may just have some competition on its hands...
Then, moving onto the more recent additions to my online shopping bag that made this into more of a 'haul'. Firstly, we have to talk about the brand-new Makeup Revolution Conceal and Define Concealers. These were launched around a week ago and ever since, everyone and their Nan has been going completely cray cray for them - so much so I think most shades are out of stock both in-store and online. Luckily, I managed to place an order before my pick of colours went out of stock - both of the shades for fair skin, 'C1' (more pink-toned) and 'C2' and (more yellow-toned) - and I am so super excited to give them a go. I really want to try and find a concealer this year that trumps (or at least matches) my love for my beloved Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer and maybe this new formula could be *it* - who knows, eh? There's only one way to find out and I will certainly be keeping you all in the loop on how I get on, so keep your eyes peeled for a review coming very soon...
Finally, onto something we all love - Highlighters. Makeup Revolution are one of my top brands, glow-wise (I am also a massive fan of Soph's Highlighter Palette she released with them too) - super affordable and yet also super-blinding too. What's not to love? And with there being a couple of products in the range that I have wanted to pick up for a while, I decided now was the perfect time to finally add them into my collection. Firstly, I picked up one of the Makeup Revolution Liquid Highlighters. I'm sure you've seen and heard loads about these - with them being touted as dupes for more higher-end liquid glow drops from the likes of Cover FX and Iconic London - and I was always wanting to get on that hype, but honestly, until recently, there weren't any shades which really stood out me as being ideal for my personal tastes and skin-tone. However, last week I spotted that they've added three new shades to the line-up and thankfully, this time, one of them looked right up my street - 'Luminous Luna'. A gorgeous light, creamy, pearly colour - I cannot wait to try it out and *hopefully* finally jump on that bandwagon. Then, I also picked up a new powder highlighter too - the Makeup Revolution Skin Kiss Highlighter in 'Ice Kiss'. I have been after trying one of the 'Skin Kiss' Highlighters for a little while now and finally, I thought it was about time I did so. They've recently added a whole host of new shades to the line-up, but actually, it was still one of the original colours that I wanted the most, for my skin-tone personally. A super bright, almost-white powder highlighter all housed in a huge pan that looks super-easy to dig your favourite brush into and get your glow on. I have heard so many amazing things about these highlighters - they're apparently super-intense and rich in colour/pigment, but also sit on the skin really nicely too - so it's safe to say I've got rather high expectations. Maybe I'll even try it layered over the top of the Liquid Highlighter too - now I bet that'll be super-duper blinding...
That is one beautiful palette! They are killing it at the moment xx
