Empties #27

It's Empties time! As you probably know by now, I've collected all of the things I've recently used up to the very last drop (or at least, all of the 'new' things I haven't featured in a post like this before) and here I am, doing a little show 'n' tell for you lovely lot. So, without any further ado, let's just get started, eh?

COLLECTION LASH SURGE MASCARA IN 'BLACK' - I've finally found a new mascara that I actually really love and not only that - it is super-duper affordable too. The brush is pretty standard and nothing to really write home about but combined with the formula, it really works wonders on your lashes. This gives them such length, volume and thickness, whilst also fanning them out nicely and giving them a good ol' lift and fluttery finish at the same time. It lasts all day without smudging or flaking off and as the name suggests, it is really intensely pitch black too.

ESSENCE SUN CLUB BRONZER IN '01 SUNKISSED' - Remember when I loved this bronzer a few months back? Whilst I've since perhaps discovered some others that I enjoy just as much, if not possibly more, this is still a great, affordable option. It's completely matte (my personal preference when it comes to bronzers) and the colour works really well on my paler skin. It's got a nice, not-too-orangey undertone that means it doesn't make you look like an Oompa Loompa (always a bonus) and instead just gives you a nice, bronzey glow which,- especially around this time of year - is always a must for me.

ESSENCE EYE BLENDER BRUSH - Tools-wise, you could argue this one isn't so much of an 'Empty' product as it's not used up in anyway, but it has still made its way to my beauty bin nevertheless. I love this eyeshadow brush. It's cheap as chips, yet does the job perfectly. It's such a large, round, fluffy brush - probably the biggest of all of my eye brushes - and so works perfectly at either applying that initial transition shade or as a clean blending brush to use in-between steps or as a final, finishing touch to really blend everything all-together. And my usual one had seen better days - the hairs were all falling out or just becoming loose and I was well in need of a replacement - and so, I did exactly that. So, its 'Goodbye' to this one, but don't worry, I've already been using my new one all the damn time already...

L'OREAL PURE CLAY 'BRIGHT' FACE MASK - Moving onto Skincare, I've finally finished this face mask all up. I say 'Finally' as honestly, this stuff has gone on forever. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining about it as it's such a good face mask but I'm honestly a little shocked at how long it actually lasted me. Way more than the recommend ten applications, that's for sure. This works wonders on my face - giving my complexion a lovely, 'lit from within' type glow and the scrubby texture making my face all smooth and super-soft too. Yes, you may well look like a Simpson when wearing it, but once it's all washed off, it's all worth it...

OGX HYDRATE AND COLOUR REVIVING + LUMINESCENT LAVENDER PLATINUM SHAMPOO - You might remember that I featured the matching Conditioner from this set in a previous Empties and now, it's time for the Shampoo to get its turn in the spotlight. As you probably know already, this shampoo - and just range in general - is bloomin' awesome. Not only does it cleanse my hair nicely, I also definitely feel it helps to keep the brightness, boldness and just general tone of my bleach blonde hair looking good and it also leaves my hair looking and feeling all hydrated too (another must when it comes to having dyed blonde hair).

SOAP AND GLORY SUGAR CRUSH HAND CLEANSING GEL - Lastly, a kinda more 'Miscellaneous'-type inclusion - a hand gel! I really like to throw a hand gel in my bag sometimes if I know I'm going to be on-the-go or at work or something and honestly, I just knew this one from Soap and Glory was gonna get the thumbs up from me. Not only have I already tried out their hand gel that they do in their signature, 'Original Pink' fragrance, you already know I adore the 'Sugar Crush' range and so I guess it's no surprise that I really like this product too. The scent is spot-on sugary, citrus-y goodness and the gel formula cleanses my hands as you would hope, without leaving them feeling dry like most hand gels can do. All in all, it's a winner...
