Top 5 Under £5 - Makeup Edition #2

Remember a couple of years back when I did this post here, where I detailed five of my top makeup products, all of which clocked in at under the £5 price-point mark? Yeah, well, today I thought I'd revisit that and include things which I feel make the cut this time round. Once again, I could have easily included way more than just five items in this line-up (aren't there just so many awesome makeup products around at the moment that are all under a fiver?) but somehow, I managed to be super-strict with myself and whittle things down, so let's get started...

REVOLUTION CONCEAL AND DEFINE CONCEALER - First off, I just had to give this awesome concealer a mention. Rewind to last year and I probably would have given a shout-out to my classic fave, Collection's Lasting Perfection, but ever since this one from Revolution came out at the start of 2018 - and I tried it out for myself - it has well and truly replaced it. This is so, so highly-pigmented and basically covers anything and everything you want it to, in one go. You need the smallest amount to get the full coverage it promises and yet it also buffs out like a dream too. Once blended and set (or 'baked') into place, it doesn't move, crease, fade - whatever - all day long and though a bottle doesn't last the longest, it's only £4 a bottle so really doesn't break the bank at all. Winner!

COLLECTION LASH SURGE MASCARA - Generally, a lot of mascaras that I like and buy nowadays tend to clock in above the £5 mark, but recently, as you may already know, this one has been my go-to favourite and surprisingly, it comes in at under a fiver too. Yay! This basically does everything I want in a good mascara, which is a bit of everything really. A nice amount of length and volume, thickens up the lashes (but also fans them out nicely) and a formula that once applied, doesn't move all day long. Check it out if you haven't already...

REVOLUTION SKIN KISS HIGHLIGHTER IN 'ICE KISS' - I just had to mention a highlighter somewhere here, didn't I? We all know how much I love 'em and especially so when they're uber-affordable - like this one right here. Yes, that's right, this comes in at just £4 - four pound! - and not only is it awesome, you get a bloomin' massive pan of product too! What more could you want, eh? The formula of this is just spot-on - a really 'creamy' powder that glides onto the skin, gives an intense glow with the smallest amount  and sits really nicely on the skin, without looking 'chunky' or glittery in anyway. The icy (but not too icy) champagne colour also, for me personally is just a perfect match highlighter-wise, however I still thought I'd give it a mention as I know they have tonnes of other colours available in the range for all different skin-tones and preferences too!

BARRY M 'MATTE ME UP' LIQUID LIP PAINTS - I really wanted to give a shout-out to some awesome lip products in this post too and when thinking of lipsticks, or 'lip colours' in some way, these immediately came to my mind. At £4.99, they just make it into the budget, but I'm super happy they do as they're so, so great. As you all probably know, these are one of my top favourite liquid lip formula I've tried so far, if not my favourite of all. They apply super opaque in one cat and while go on glossy, almost instantly dry down to a super, powdery-matte finish. We all know a fully matte finish is something I love in a good liquid lip and combined with the fact that once on, these stay put and don't transfer at all or move until you say so - these are a winner in my eyes.

RIMMEL LIP LINERS - Last, but certainly by no means least - if you're after a good range of lip liners that are awesome, and also incredibly affordable - look no further than Rimmel's. Not onyl are these great quality - go on super-pigmented, are creamy enough to glide on easily but also slightly waxy in texture, meaning they stick around and keep whatever else you use in place - they're so, so cheap too! They also come in basically any and every colour you'd need, so stock up and you'll be set...
