The other week, I decided to throw a couple of different polishes together for the first time - so naturally, I knew I had to share the finished result with you all! Especially as I loved it, a lot. A warm, peachy-gold look that's super-Summery and great for the warmer weather that's *hopefully* now here to stay...
I started things off with a layer of the Barry M Coconut Infusion Nail Paint in 'Flamingo'. A gorgeous, light (but not too pasty) pastel peach, in your traditional creme finish. I usually apply your standard two coats to get it to the full coverage I want, but for this look I only applied one coat as I knew I'd be applying something else over the top anyway - so for this is was more about getting some colour down, rather than getting it fully opaque, if you get what I mean. So, one coating was all I needed this time round and once that was all dried down - it was time to move onto a little extra somethin' somethin'. And that was, of course - something sparkly - and in this instance, I plumped for the Barry M Molten Metals Nail Paint in 'Peachy Feels'. One of their more recent shade additions to this range (which you all probably know already that I love) - I knew it'd become one I'd get a tonne of use out of throughout the Spring/Summer - and so far, I think I was about right. Having already fell in love with it alone, I was eager to try it in conjunction with something else - and 'Flamingo' seemed like the perfect choice. And, I'm really glad I paired these two together as I loved the finished effect! 'Peachy Feels' has almost the exact same peachy base, with the same level of depth and tone too - so it layers over 'Flamingo' pretty seamlessly. It almost just deposits that extra layer of coverage that I need (having only put down one coat of 'Flamingo' in preparation) and with that gorgeous, warm, orangey-gold metallic finish. The finishes result is just so pretty and really appropriate for the warmer weather too - I can't wait to no doubt recreate this at some point again over the next few months!
