...Not that I'd happily want to, oh no. But if the price was to suddenly increase, I'd still happily repurchase these products - they're that good. Let's put it that way! Basically, here's a selection of makeup products from the drugstore/affordable end of the price spectrum that whilst I love that they are so cheap (and hope and pray they remain so), if the price was to go up, I'd feel it was kinda justified in a way and would not even question continuing to add them into my basket...
REVOLUTION X SOPH EXTRA SPICE PALETTE - Firstly - I just have to mention this awesome palette. I think we all know by now this is by far one of my favourite drugstore/affordable eyeshadow palettes out there. For just £10, you get 18 gorgeous shades - in a mix of creamy, blendable mattes and intense, foiled-like shimmers - in such a lovely, neutral-but-also-kinda-colourful colour scheme too! You can do more parred-back looks, but also something more bright and bold and that's exactly what I adore about this palette. The quality is so great considering the price-point and that's why it just had to make it into this line-up!
L'OREAL INFALLIBLE FRESH WEAR FOUNDATION - This foundation has fast become one of my top picks from the drugstore/affordable arena and honestly, I think I'd still be happy repurchasing even if the price was that little bit higher! It gives such a great medium coverage to the skin that can be easily sheered out or built up a tad as you like it and the finish is just gorgeous too. Not too matte, not too dewy - just this lovely, skin-like effect that's that ideal mix between the two. And honestly, as the coverage of of this will never really go beyond a strong medium, that kind of finish works just perfectly for this base. It sits really well on the skin and once set into place, I find this foundation to easily last me all day or night long. No caking, major wear-down or creasing up either!
REVOLUTION CONCEAL AND DEFINE CONCEALER - I just love this concealer and it was a definite inclusion in a post like this one! I love how affordable this concealer is (you can get the regular for just £4 and the supersize for £7) but if the prices were to sneak up there a little, I'd honestly still race down to Superdrug to repurchase when I needed to! A super full coverage concealer that's really creamy and thick (but not too much so) and blends out like a dream, whilst still retaining the coverage you want. For such a intense concealer, it feels and looks surprisingly lightweight and smooth on the skin and once set down, it doesn't crease, cake up or fade throughout the day/night too. There's a mah-oo-sive shade range so there should, *fingers crossed*, be something for everyone and no matter the price, it would always be a concealer from the drugstore I'd point people in the direction of...
LOTTIE LONDON 'READY, SET! GO' TRANSLUCENT LOOSE FINISHING POWDER - In terms of loose, translucent setting powders - this one from Lottie London has my heart and has to be my favourite of them all. It's super finely-milled, feels so lightweight and almost invisible on the skin and yet at the same time, gets the job done. It effectively sets (or bakes, depending on how your use it) the skin - and keeps it that way. Wherever I use this (mainly for baking my under-eyes and smile lines) my skin is fully mattified, but not dry-looking and pretty smooth in appearance too and it stays crease-free throughout the day and night too. There's no caking or crumbling of the makeup and as I said before - whilst my skin in those areas is matte, it doesn't look 'flat' or dry at all - which is always what we want, right? For all of that, I'd happily pay slightly more for this powder if it came to it!
PRIMARK SKINNY BROW PENCILS - Finally, I had to give a shout-out to these fab brow pencils from Primark, of all places! I must admit, Primark isn't typically where I expect to find such firm favourites in the makeup arena - but these brow pencils have certainly defied the odds to become my current go-to. Love a good skinny, micro brow pencil like the ones from NYX or even-pricier high end brands like Anastasia? Skip and go straight to these beauties from Primark - they're kinda the exact same thing! On one end you get a super-fine pencil and the other, a handy spoolie to brush things through with. The pencil really is awesome for getting those hair-like strokes that we all seem to want for our brows and the formula is creamy enough to apply easily, yet waxy and 'stiff' enough to allow enough resistance to get a precise, sharp application and a finish that really stays put on your brows - which is probably the main thing we all look for in good brow products. I mean, no one wants their brows sliding off, do they?
