March: The Love List

It's time for my March Monthly Favourites! March really has felt like a year-long month, hasn't it? What with everything going on and the many twists and turns along the way - it sort of felt like it would never end and I for one am kinda glad to see the back of it. Although, with how things seem to be going, something tells me the months are gonna be like that for a little while. Anyway, that's one reason I suppose that this monthly favourites is a bit of a shorter edition. Just like how this blog has taken a bit of a back-seat in March, I just haven't been buying or trying that many new beauty products either! There's been so much going on and I just haven't felt like it - although, to be fair, there really hasn't been much new-ness that's caught my eye recently either. Next month, despite what is going on in the World, I really want to somehow get back to 'normal' programming. Blog as 'normal', buy and try any new products I see (online, right now, of course) to occupy my mind and reach into my collection for any old favourites or new products I still have yet to give a go. Let's do this! But, first - here's the select few new, awesome beauty products that I have found love with in March...

REVOLUTION X TAMMI 'TROPICAL PARADISE' PALETTE - For the most of the past month, eyeshadow-wise, I've mainly been using and loving the one in my Project Pan 2020 - the awesome, infamous Revolution X Soph Extra Spice Palette, FYI - as I've not bought or tried anything new! However, if I've not been reaching for Extra Spice, I've rediscovered this old favourite! This used to be one of my favourite, most-used palettes a couple of years back - and one of my favourites from Revolution in general. And you know what? I'd say it still ranks pretty damn highly. Not only is the colour scheme just gorgeous - full of a variety of rich neutrals, with some vibrant pops of colour thrown in for good measure - but the formula is also an utter winner too. Like, this remains one of the best quality shadow palettes from Revolution - the mattes are fully pigmented and blend like a dream; whilst the shimmers are just so creamy and apply so intensely on the lid (even without a damp brush or use of a fingertip to apply). I definitely need to get this palette out more often in the future...

REVOLUTION POWDER MATTE LIPSTICKS IN 'TEDDY', 'ROSY' AND 'FLAMINGO' - You may remember towards the end of the last year I tried the (at the time, new) Revolution Powder Matte Lipsticks and in short, became just a little obsessed with them. And I think that shows in the fact that I've gone from trying one initial shade to now owning probably around half the whole collection! These three were the most recent additions to my stash that I picked up a couple of weeks back (it was the 3 for 2 at Superdrug that I think finally pushed me to make the purchase) and this month, I've been slowly but surely trying them all out and so far, I really love them all! The formula is just the same great formula as before - super matte, yet also creamy enough to glide onto the lips with ease and with full pigment from the get-go too - and the finish is just as the name implies, a perfect powder matte! You know the kind of formula of MAC Ruby Woo? These are virtually the same, just of course at a more affordable price-point. They're even more matte, than 'normal' matte. There's no transfer at all, they stay nearly completely in place all day long - but the thing that makes these so great is that they don't feel or look dry on the lips in anyway and are easy to reapply if they do require a touch-up at all. 'Teddy' is the perfect mauve-toned nude, 'Rosy' is a gorgeous dusky, raspberry pink and 'Flamingo' is a super-stunning, vibrant hot pink. All totally my kind of colours - hence why I just knew they had to be added to my collection - and so far, they're all firm favourites!

NYX BUTTER GLOSS IN 'BIT OF HONEY' - It's no secret that I never used to be a lip gloss gal at all, but over the past year or so I think I've finally 'got' what all the hype is about and whilst they're still not my top favourite lip finish, I've finally come to appreciate them - which is awesome! And the NYX Butter Glosses have certainly become one of my top favourites. So cheap, but so good! When browsing in Superdrug a few weeks back, I came across what I believe to be a new drop of shades and this gorgeous rich, peachy-nude, which I think is one of them! It's got the same super lightweight and non-sticky formula and high-shine, glossy finish - just in another super pretty, nude colour! As I've said many times before - if I ever wear a gloss, it's always gonna be a nude - and I can just tell this is gonna become another one I'll be reaching for from now on...

ELF HYDRATING CAMO CONCEALER IN 'FAIR WARM' - I wasn't really in the market to be trying another new concealer - with me only trying and loving the new Revolution Conceal and Define Infinite last month - but having seen and heard so much hype for this new one from Elf and it recently becoming available online in the UK at Superdrug - it just had to be done. And you know, I'm pretty glad I did as I really like this concealer! In all honesty, I much prefer this to the original Camo Concealer. Though I did like that one, since trying this hydrating version - I doubt I'll go back! This has just as much coverage (medium-full buildable), but is so much quicker and easier to blend, feels that little bit more lightweight and sits so much smoother and less 'dry-looking' on the skin too.

SOAP AND GLORY HAND FOOD HAND LOTION - The only non-makeup fave I have this month comes from Soap and Glory - and it is this hand cream, or 'hand lotion' right here. We all know and love the Soap and Glory Hand Food Hand Cream right? Myself included! However, when I got gifted a set of theirs last Christmas, inside I spotted it in a very different type of format - as a hand lotion instead! I guessed it was basically the same hand cream, just in a slightly thinner formula and with a handy pump dispenser this time and you know, I'd say that really does sum this product up well - but I'd actually go as far as to say it's even better than I was expecting. Not only is this even more easy, quick and convenient to apply than the original Hand Food, but the formula is almost identical too. I was expecting a more runny texture than the original, but this still manages to be

So there we have it - all of my beauty favourites from the month of March! I think the one positive I'll take from this rather crazy, stressful, not-that-great month is that at the very least, I found some new favourite beauty products. Cause right now, it's all about the little things, right?
