November: The Love List

It's time for my November Beauty Favourites! I tried some true gems this month and cannot wait to share them with you all. Let's see what I tried (and loved) in the penultimate month of the year...

BEAUTY BAY 'SUNSET HORIZONS' AND 'BOOK OF MAGIC' PALETTES - I mean, I had to mention these two beauties - didn't I? These have for sure been two of my top, top products I tried this month. I am so impressed by these palettes - they're awesome! They're pretty affordable, are both such stunning colour schemes, with a great mix between mattes and shimmers and great quality formulas too. The mattes blend like a dream and are super pigmented; whilst the shimmers are creamy, intense and really reflective! All in all, I really have no complaints and cannot wait to create more looks using both of these in the future...

RIMMEL BROW PRO MICRO PENCILS IN 'BLONDE' AND 'DARK BROWN' - Ever since Primark has made it increasingly difficult to come across their awesome Skinny Brow Pencils in-store, I've made it my mission to find other - also super affordable - micro brow pencils. NYX are awesome (though admittedly they're not very affordable), MUA was a strong winner (and also much cheaper), but also I fancied trying this offering from Rimmel. And actually, I ended up quite enjoying them. Both colours are pretty good for me (the lighter colour is prefect for the front of my brows, whilst the darker shade is ideal for the main bulk where I want my brows to be a little deeper) and formula-wise, I'm rather impressed. They're creamy enough in texture to apply easily, but also slightly waxy enough to allow a controlled and precise application and also bullet-proof longevity too! I think I may still go back to my MUA eventually as they're even more affordable and the pencils themselves are even skinnier, but for now - I've been quite enjoying these...

I HEART REVOLUTION CHOCOLATE LIPSTICK IN 'SALTED CARAMEL' - You may remember I love the I Heart Revolution Chocolate Lipglosses - mainly the one that's in the shade 'Salted Caramel'. A gorgeous, light (but not too light), beigey nude with just a dash of pinky-mauve in there - it's stunning! It's basically the exact same colour as the matching lipgloss (which you would expect, so that's good) and I really love the formula and finish of this lipstick too. It's opaque, creamy and has a kind of satin finish that's comfortable on the lips but still has decent longevity and doesn't move around too much. It also does indeed slightly smell of chocolate, like the lipglosses - which is always a bonus, right?

REVOLUTION POWDER MATTE LIPSTICKS IN 'NAKED' AND 'SPICE' - It's no secret that I love the Revolution Powder Matte Lipsticks - I already own a lot of them from the collection and love and use them all. They're the most matte, powdery finish you can get from a traditional bullet lipstick, but are still so comfortable to wear on the lips. Once applied, they require no-to-minimal reapplications and they don't move around throughout the day at all. I don't know how they do it, but they do it very well! These two new shades are colours I've thought about adding to my collection for a while - and now that I have, I'm very happy about it. 'Naked' is a stunning light, beige nude (just about as light nude I would ever go on my lips, perfect for pairing with a deeper lip liner or using in the very centre of the lips to highlight and add the illusion of extra fullness in the pout); whilst 'Spice' is exactly that - a pretty, warm, terracotta orange nude that's just stunning for this time of year!

NYX SLIDE ON GLIDE ON LIP LINER IN 'SUGAR GLASS' - I've always heard good things about this particular shade from the range of lip liners from NYX and finally, I got round to picking it up to try for myself! A classic, warm-toned nude lip liner - it was perhaps a given that I'd enjoy it. But, I really do! It's just the right depth that's not too light as to not give my lips enough definition and shape, nor too deep that it doesn't match or blend with my usual nude lippies. The formula really does glide on like a dream, however I do also find it hangs around on the lips well too - which sometimes isn't the case with more creamy lip liner formulas! What's not to love?

BARRY M ROSE TINTED NAIL PAINTS IN 'CRUSHED' AND 'FRENCH ROSE' - Last, but certainly by no means least - two new nail polish favourites! Barry M has always been a go-to of mine when it comes to nails and so when I saw this new range, I knew I had to give the two shades which caught my eye the most a go. And I have definitely not been disappointed! 'Crushed' is a gorgeous mid-toned mauvey-pink; whilst 'French Rose' is a super pretty, rich, deep raspberry pink. Both exactly the same high quality I've come to expect from Barry M and both stunning colours that I can see myself reaching for time and time again in the future...

So there we have it - my favourites from November! I'd love to know what you've been loving, beauty-wise, this month - so remember to leave it in the comments below!
