Polish Pick: Metallic Berry

You might remember a couple of weeks back, I tried out a new polish from Barry M for the very first time. A new addition to their Molten Metals Range, 'Pink Luxe' is a gorgeous rose gold with a deep purple base and as you'll have know if you read my Polish Pick' here, I quickly fell in love with it. But, as I usually tend to do, I fancied experimenting with it a little more to see what other effects I could possibly achieve with it, used in conjunction with other polishes in my collection and I guess here we have my first go...

I started by layering on a coat of the Maybelline Color Show Nail Polish in 'Crimson Flush' - a pretty mid-toned purpley-mauve that's I feel is the perfect colour for Autumn. I thought the berry tones would make for a good base for 'Pink Luxe' - which has a similar undertone running through it - so applied one coat (seeing as I was going in with something else afterwards) and did exactly that and let me just say - I loved the finished effect. As I hoped, the rich, mauve base that the 'Crimson Flush' gave just emphasised that of the 'Pink Luxe' even more so. The warm, bronze shimmer that runs throughout was still very much prevalent and as always, the finished result was super metallic, eye-catching and very glossy too. All in all, this is definitely something I'll be repeating, especially throughout the upcoming Autumnal months. Maybe I need to try out other colour combinations too? The possibilities are endless...
