It's time for my fourth Project Pan 2020 Update! We'r ea quarter way through the year already - wowsers. Although, with everything that's been going on, it does kinda feel like we should be even further through the year than that - right? And to be honest, I kinda feel like wishing the entire year away at this point anyway - bring on 2021! But, back to my Project Pan - here we have my check-in for the month of April! To be honest, I really don't feel like I've made too much progress this month. I don't know whether it's down to the lockdown and wearing makeup less than I usually would (I've quite literally only been doing my makeup for work and popping to the shops once a week) but I haven't finished up as many products as I have in previous months and I also haven't made as much of a dent in existing products either. However, I have definitely still made at least some headway - which is still a good thing - so I have still got some updates to share with you all! Let's get started...
What I've Made Progress On...
- Rimmel Lasting Finish Concealer - I use this pot concealer basically every time I do my makeup to clean up my brows, eyeliner or any general mistakes and as a result, I certainly made more progress on it this month!
- Collection Primed and Ready Invisible Setting Powder - Again, this is another staple in my makeup routine and because of that I know for sure, I've made a deeper dent in it these past few weeks.
- Soap and Glory Solar Powder Bronzer - I've carried on trying to make more progress on this bronzer and though it's proving to be a slow process, I know I've made the pan that little bit bigger this month!
- theBalm Mary Lou Manizer Luminzer - I got back into this highlighter in April after having a few months where I didn't really touch it. And it remains one of my favourite highlighters of all time - so, so good!
- Barry M Lip Scrub in 'Peppermint' - I use this lip scrub really regularly - especially before applying makeup, so naturally I've used up some more of it these past few weeks!
- NYX Slim Lip Pencil in 'Natural' - I've definitely used this lip liner a fair few more times this past month and it's only getting shorter, so that must be a good sign, right? Hopefully it won't be too much longer before I finally use it up completely!
...And What I've Perhaps Not...
- Revolution X Soph Extra Spice Palette - Shock horror, for the first month of this project - I've not touched this palette, at all! I just had so many new palettes to try this month that I've been all about testing those out rather than reaching for this old favourites - and that's OK. I've used this palette so consistently before that I can definitely forgive myself not picking up up at all in April! Maybe next month I'll find myself reaching for it once again...
- MUA Bronzed Perfection Matte Bronzer - Again, I just didn't find myself ever reaching for this bronzer! It's been in this project for a while now and I'm still yet to pick it up and make any progress on it. I know that's down to the fact I'm so concentrated on finishing up my Soap and Glory Solar Powder Bronzer and whenever I'm not using that one, I'm either trying something new or using another old favourite. So, because of that, I've decided that I'm going to remove this from Project Pan 2020. Maybe when Solar Powder is finally used up, I'll re-introduce this one? Who knows...
What I've Used Up...
- Revolution Conceal and Hydrate Foundation in 'F2' - I was so happy to have finished this foundation up this month! I was convinced it wouldn't be too much longer before it bit the dust, but I was pleasantly surprised when the time came a couple of weeks ago. I really do love this foundation and have already repurchased another, but with a few others already in my collection, I think I may delay opening it just yet...
- Collection Lasting Perfection Weightless Foundation - I managed to use up the other foundation I had in this project in the same month - yay! This felt like it took forever to use up, but finally in the past week it did. I must admit that whilst I did like this base, it wasn't one of my favourites and so I doubt I will actually buy it again but I'm glad I managed to finish the one I did have all up completely, neverthless!
- Revolution Big Lash Mascara - The final product I used all up in April was this mascara - I did say I didn't use as much makeup up this past month! Mascara seems to be a given every month as - as I'd assume it would be the case for most people - it's one of the main types of makeup products that I get through the quickest and also most frequently. And this time, it was the turn of my most recent mascara from Revolution! I did like this, but again - didn't love it - so I doubt whether I'd repurchase it again, but I'm still happy to have used it up!
What I'm Adding In...
- Revolution Conceal and Define Infinite Concealer in 'C1' - I've loved this concealer ever since picking it up to try out as soon as it was first released and with it only being a smaller size, I feel like I'm already well on my way to using it all up soon anyway - so why not add it into this project?
- Obsession Pure Bake Baking Powder in 'Lace' - This loose powder is yet another item I've been using basically every time I do my makeup since first trying it out, have already made a good dent in so figured it would be only right to add into my Project Pan 2020!
- MUA Brow Define Micro Brow Pencils in 'Fair' and 'Mid Brown' - And again, these brow pencils have become my new go-to for filling in my brows ever since giving them a go. I've already used them a lot, really enjoy them and so I knew they had to be added into the mix. I'm sure it won't take me too long to get through them!
