November: The Love List

It's already the end of November and it's time for the penultimate Monthly Favourites of the year! Just where has the time gone? Nevertheless, I feel I tried some real new faves this month beauty-wise and I can't wait to share them with you all...

REVOLUTION POWDER MATTE LIPSTICK IN 'FASCINATION' - Firstly, I just have to talk about this awesome lipstick. I was after trying some more actual bullet red lipsticks (with a particular event coming up soon in mind) and this one from a new range from Revolution caught my eye. And all in all, I'm pretty glad it did as I really do love it so far! It kinda reminds me in texture to the likes of MAC's Ruby Woo - a bullet lipstick, but super matte and powdery in texture/finish. It glides on so easily though, with full pigment and though it is fully matte, it's not at all uncomfortable or dry feeling on the lips - and it certainly doesn't look like it either! It lasts so well too - only needing a few minor touch-up at the very centre of the lips throughout the day. But, there's no bleeding, transferring or moving about at all - which is always what I'm after, especially in such a bold colour. The shade is pretty similar to Ruby Woo, but maybe a little less bright and blue based, but either way it's a great classic red for the upcoming festive season - so I'm sure 'll get be getting more use out of this one before the year is out...

NYX SUEDE MATTE LIPSTICK IN 'COPENHAGEN' - Another lippie to give a mention to is this one from NYX. Like the red lip, I have another special occasion coming up soon where I'm after a good super-matte, bullet lipstick - this time in a berry hue - and this one right here looked to be a good shout. So, I picked it up and let's just say - I think I've found the one I'm going to go for! The perfect deep (but not too dark and vampy) purple berry shade that I was after - and I love this formula and finish too! I had heard some pretty good things about these Suede Matte Lipsticks in the past and now I've finally tried one, I can now see what all the fuss is about. It's basically identical in formulation to the Revolution one I mentioned above - super-powdery matte and transfer-proof, but glides on fully opaque with ease and still feels and looks comfortable and non-drying on the lips. Minimal touch-ups required, no moving about or bleeding throughout the day - winner!

MUA SATIN LIPSTICK IN 'TLC' - Yes, we do indeed have another lipstick - this time, it's a nude with a more creamy/satin finish from MUA! Now, I mainly got drawn to this lipstick having already fell in love with their lip liners. I now own a fair few of them in all different shades but in terms of the neutrals, the shade 'TLC' has quickly become one of my new go-to nude lip liners. The perfect 'MLBB'-type colour for me - a light (but not too pale) pinky-brown nude. MakeMeUpMissa raved about it and for good reason - it's great. So, when I saw they now had a lipstick shade with the same name, I just had to give it a try. And for only £1.50, what could I lose? Well, it turns out nothing at all, as this lipstick is just awesome. It's basically the exact same colour as the lip liner, just in a gorgeous creamy, satin lipstick. As I've said before, I only go for creamy finishes in lipstick when it's a nude shade and this one I can already tell will be a new staple in my collection...

NYX BUTTER GLOSS IN 'MADELINE' - The final makeup inclusion - and lipstick too, I promise - comes from NYX. And this time, we have a lip gloss! You might remember this time, last month I was raving about their Butter Gloss in 'Tiramisu'. Well, after such success with that one, I thought I'd try another - and yet again, I love it. This is more of a warm, browney nude, so great for when I want that kind of nude lip and the formula is again a winner. Super shiny and glossy, not at all sticky or heavy, just really comfortable and balmy feeling on the lips!

BARRY M CRYSTAL ROCKS TEXTURED NAIL PAINT IN 'RED JASPER' - Nails-wise, this has been a new favourite colour in my collection this month,. Last month, I tried out another shade in this new range out and adored it, so I was super excited to give this colour a try - and yet again, it's a thumbs up from me! A gorgeous red glitter with golden flecks - super festive and Christmassey, I can't wait to get even more use out of this over the next month! I just love the concept of these - two coats and you're left with super full-on glitter nails with just one polish, just finish them off with a top coat to seal them into place and give them a more shiny finish and smoother feel to the touch and you're good to go...

SUPERDRUG NATURALLY RADIANT HOT CLOTH CLEANSER - Moving onto one new item of Skincare that I've been loving this month - a new face cleanser! I already love Superdrug's Naturally Radiant range - super affordable, but such amazing quality products at the same time - and so, when I got a few gift of two minis of products I've not tried before, I was pretty happy. I soon got to trying this face cleanser out and soon fell in love! Simply massage a small amount of this onto a damp face and polish it off with a dampened muslin cloth (that's been ran under lukewarm water - a key step, hence the name!) and you're done. I love using this after my usual micellar water to really ensure every last scrap of makeup is removed and my skin is completely and utterly squeaky clean. My skin feels so lovely and clean after using this, it's so gentle to use and doesn't irritate or aggravate my sensitive skin at all - I love it!

L'OREAL ELVIVE EXTRAORDINARY OIL - Finally, we come to all things Haircare - and this month we seem to have a few new favourites! Having bleached blonde, highlighted hair that I also use heat on regularly - taking the best care of my hair that I can is super, super important to me. And personally, one of the ways I love doing that is through leave in oils and when I was after a new one recently, I remembered this classic. I'd heard so many good things about this hair oil from L'Oreal for years and had never tried it myself. But, now I have - I can certainly see where all the hype is coming from! I simply take a couple of pumps at most between the palms of my hands, run it through the lengths and ends of my hair (you can use it on wet or dry hair but I personally prefer to use it on dry hair as more of a 'styling' treatment), leave it to dry for a little while and then style as normal. Not only does it leave my hair feeling super soft and nourished and looking really shiny and sleek it also contains heat protection which is another essential for keeping your hair in great condition too!

TRESEMME KERATIN SMOOTH MASK - Another way I love to keep my hair in tip-top shape is through a good ol' deep conditioning mask. I had this one from Tresemme sitting in my stash for ages (I think I received it as part of a Christmas gift a couple of years ago) and finally when I was in need of a new hair mask to use, I decided it was time to give this one a go. And I'm really glad I did - this is such a great hair mask! I already know I really like the whole Tresemme Keratin Smooth range as I've used their Shampoo and Conditioner before but I'd never tried the Mask before. I was pretty confident I''d like it and I really do. I simply slather my hair in this, wrap it up for as long as possible and then rinse off and dry and style as normal and oh my, my hair is left feeling and looking so good! So soft, smooth, supple to the touch and it looks so shiny too! The scent is pretty lovely aswell...

PRIMARK SUPER BLENDS COCONUT AND CACTUS FLOWER STRENGTHENING SHAMPOO - Finally, I had to throw this more recent new favourite in here. I know I only discovered it in the past week or so, but I love it so much I couldn't not mention it. After hearing and seeing so much hype around these new £1 Shampoos and Conditioners from Primark recently, I decided to give one a go. This was the scent family I think I remember seeing the most raving about and for a pound, I figured I couldn't really go wrong. And it turns out, I was right to think so! It thoroughly cleanses my hair but doesn't make it feel stripped in anyway, instead it makes it feel so soft, smooth and hydrated! It also smells delicious, almost like Malibu - which can only ever be a good thing, right? All that for just £1 - what more could you ask for...

So there we are - all of my top beauty picks from this past month of November! I can't believe there's now only one Monthly Favourites to go until both the end of the year and then my Yearly Favourites of 2019 at the beginning of January!
